Frequently Asked Questions About Our Kids Book Club

What are the monthly reading themes?

Themes are selected based on the children’s interests. After registration, you will receive an email inviting you to complete the Kids Book Club Interest Quiz. Once the groups are formed, we will suggest themes and let the children vote on their favourites. It may include science, nature, art, and other topics that encourage curiosity and creativity. Some themes also feature science-based activities.

Where are the in-person book club meetings held?

Our in-person kids book club meetings take place at Trop Stop café in Montréal Ville Saint-Laurent (Vieux Saint-Laurent).

What are the minimum and maximum ages? Can babies join?

Children of all ages, from babies to teens, are welcome unless a specific session indicates otherwise. Once registration closes, we will organize age-appropriate groups based on the children’s ages and interests.

Are the books available in English or French?

Books are offered in the language of the selected session. If you would like your child to have a choice of both English and French books, simply indicate both languages in the Kids Book Club Interest Quiz after registering. The language question allows you to select more than one option. Here is an example:

How will my child choose the book ?

We will then present a selection of books for each chosen theme, taking different reading interests and book preferences into account.

Can my child choose more than one book per month?

Yes! If your child would like additional books, you will have the option to select more than one in the monthly book selection form. Additional books may involve an extra charge.

How can children stay engaged between book club meetings?

Reading and creativity don’t have to stop when a meeting ends. An optional private group page will give children a space to share their creations, exchange ideas, and connect with other young readers between meetings.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay by Interac e-Transfer or by credit or debit card through Stripe, subject to the payment options available at checkout.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes! You may have the option to pay through Klarna in four interest-free payments, subject to eligibility and availability at checkout. You can also contact us to arrange it via Interac transfers.

What if I want to register my child but can’t attend or afford the current option?

We understand that every family’s circumstances are different. If you would like your child to join the EduPixo Kids Book Club but something is preventing you from registering, tell us how we can help, we may be able to find a solution that works for your family.
